As keen gym-goers, Sergey and I saw that Spanish fitness enthusiasts were forced to choose between cheap but low-quality gyms or unaffordable high-end clubs. We launched Synergym in 2014 with the goal of putting people first and improving the lives of our members.
We started with just two clubs, which quickly turned into 10. Our expert team formulated the blueprint for site expansion until we were ready to really take on the Spanish market. All we needed was capital.
Growth Partner invested when we had 17 gyms. Five years later, it’s over 100. With €150m of additional funding secured in 2024/25, our aim is to continue growing to over 200.
Synergym was sold to VivaGym in 2026 to create the leading low-cost gym player in Iberia.
